Interesting Places To Go In New Zealand 5

Rotorua I'm back!
Remember that day I went here? The weather was not really good.
It is not to far from my hotel, it's only like 80km from Lake Taupo.

Full of gooses, ducks and sea gulls near the lake bank.

Do you mind? Goose are eating here please~ (at Rotorua lake)

Some view from Rotorua Lake!

If you can see black floating things, they are birds that live there. They are ducks, goose and even swans.

Back to water!

Water landing!

Another intereting place in Rotorua is The Redwoods, Whakarewarewa Forest.
This forest mainly made up of redwood trees. Natural forest in Rotorua. It is near to the city centre, only few minutes away. The entrance is free.
Visitors have choices of tracks they want to walk. There are short, medium and long track. The shortest takes 30 minutes to finish and the longest takes1 to 2 hours

Having my lunch in Mecca Kebab (halal) which located at Tutanekai st  (Rotorua city centre).

Next to Bay of Plenty, Turanga. It is 80 km north of Rotorua. There are 2 ways going there from Rotorua either through SH 36 (state highway 36) or SH 33. But the SH 33 is much more comfortable to drive on.
Turanga is one of most populated city in New Zealand.
Other than the beach, Mount Mangunai is one of attraction available here. It is famous for bird watching if i am not mistaken.

Here Bay of Plenty beach!
Bay of Plenty is a wide bay which it is 259 km wide. and Turanga is located at the middle of the bay.

North Island, New Zealand.

The city centre of Turanga.
This place is more for citizen compared for tourist.
Nothing much to be seen here except for the bay.
When I arrived at the city centre, the place is quite, not much peoples are going around the city.
But the place is beautifully built.

Before I went back to Lake Taupo, I went to a fish shop at the fisherman port near the city centre. The fish are so fresh! superb! They are even serving cooked fish like fish and chips. This must try. If you are concerning about the halal status of the food just buy the raw fish and cook it yourself.

I went back to Taupo through Te Puke (SH33). Te Puke is called a Kiwi Town (kiwi fruit), You can see kiwi farm along the road behind tall trees fence. If you want to buy some kiwi, just find any kiwi store over there along the road.

To be continued...
